SEBASTIAN FLORICǍ is part of the winning team of the previous DevHacks installment and holds a BSc in CS&IT and an MSc in Business Administration. He has been a full stack software engineer for the past 7 years. At present, he holds the lead position for new feature development for one of Systematic’s star products, designed for the defense industry: Sitaware Headquarters.

Cyber security professional with more than +15 y of expertise. Trainer and consultant for different public and private organizations such as Council of Europe, CERT- RO , ECSC, Veridium, etc. Experienced professional in Incident Handling, Vulnerability Management, Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis, Penetration Testing, Cloud and DevOps, Risk Assessment and Cyber Exercises.

Catalin started his career as a web developer, building web applications from the ground up using PHP and several frameworks. During these years he acquired important knowledge on how a system may become vulnerable and how to protect applications and user data. He was always security aware, so passing to the security side was a natural step, when he joined the Romanian National CERT team – CERT-RO, as a security consultant. From this position, he participated in the full computer security incident management flow, from first response to forensic analysis and mitigation. He also participated in multiple international computer security exercises, held by either international organizations or national governments. 

Radu received his Master of Science degree in computer science and communication engineering in Germany at the University of Duisburg-Essen, and started his professional career in academics in the computer engineering department. He moved to Jakarta, Indonesia where he led the academic cooperation in engineering between Germany and South-East Asia. Radu graduated in 2016 the Executive MBA program from Vienna University.

In 2008 Radu has returned to Romania, after spending 20 years abroad. Here he started to work for Microsoft in various roles (Office365 Support, Partner Consulting, Technology Evangelism). He is now Business Development Manager with Microsoft, leading transformation and innovation with independent software vendors (ISV) partners in the Microsoft ecosystem to help them using Microsoft Technologies more efficiently.

Catalin is a “veteran”(over 9 years’ experience) in Ops team of Metro Systems Romania for an application based on Oracle. He is constantly involved in new projects , learning himself and others in supporting and automation of all internal processes in the benefit of our client and also the team. Is passionate, curious and always in search of simple and easy solutions for all parties involved.

My journey with Metro Systems began 7 months ago in the Digital Marketing Engineering Capability. Passionate about marketing, data analysis, web tracking implementation & web optimization. George Ciuperca is currently Head of Software Development in Raiffeisen Bank.

He was involved in large projects that changed the bank’s application landscape in the last 10 years. Being very passionate about SOA, microservices and middleware technologies and their implementation in the financial industry, always seeks the best frameworks and tools that bring innovation and performance in the software development processes. He is fond of applying Pareto principle in software development: “80% of the functionalities of an application can be developed with only 20% of the total effort“.

Bogdan Pipernea is Head of IT in Raiffeisen Bank and for the past 20 years he’s been mixing IT and banking.

Bogdan was part of extensive IT & Digital transformation programs within several large banks in Romania and he strongly believes that the sustainable evolution of the financial sector will rely heavily on the accelerated transformation of IT departments. This is the path to stable, safe and innovative products and services for clients.

Manuela has 15 years of experience in IT – involved in designing and developing web and banking applications. Currently she’s coordinating a team of creative, eager to conquer the banking software and stubborn Java developers. Her greatest satisfaction is to see people successfully use applications she helped develop. As a big SF fan, her dearest book is Dune by Frank Herbert.

IT Operations guy, driven by a strange desire to have all services up & running, Erol is in charge of the infrastructure and applications the bank runs on.

With almost 20 years of Infrastructure & Operations experience in 24/7 environments he always has with him two mobile phones (for redundancy purposes, using different carriers).

Alina is currently head of IT Support Services in Raiffeisen Bank with more than 10 years banking experience. She’s currently involved in improving support processes in the bank.

Alex Lakatos is a JavaScript Developer Advocate for Nexmo. In his spare time he is a Mozilla Tech Speaker and has been a contributor to the Mozilla project for the past six years, based in London. Felix is currently the Co-founder and CTO of Netopia – the company behind mobilPay Wallet, NETOPIA Payments and BTKO.in. He has  a working experience of more than 20 years in Information Technology. Felix started as a researcher in social sciences, continued as a developer for COTS and later games and being a solution consultant for major projects in big banks and telecom groups. He then went on to co-found, launch and grow a suite of services that became market leaders in their respective domains.
